Welcome to Oakfield Wind, a new renewable energy project proposed for Maine’s Aroostook County. Oakfield Wind will help residents harvest the crop of the future–clean wind energy–while protecting Maine’s environment for future generations.

In 2007, the owners of Oakfield Wind, First Wind, were recognized by the Maine State Chamber of Commerce for their vision and commitment to economic growth in Maine. Oakfield Wind is one more example of First Wind’s ongoing mission to work with community members to create jobs, grow the local and regional economy and increase America’s energy independence.
